Site cabins are the workhorses of any project. Our used units cover everything from offices and drying rooms to canteens and stores, all rebuilt to stand up to daily site life. Most are jackleg cabins — a portable building sitting on four adjustable steel legs, so it levels easily on rough ground — and a second hand unit costs a fraction of a new one.

We refurbish each building in our own workshop, replacing worn panels and flooring, repainting, electrically testing and certifying before delivery. Whether you call them site cabins, portable buildings, prefabricated units or temporary buildings, they can be linked or stacked to create a full site compound.

What is a jackleg cabin?

A jackleg cabin is a portable building with four adjustable steel legs at the corners. The legs wind up and down so the unit can be levelled on uneven or sloping ground without a concrete base. Most used site cabins we sell are jackleg units — see used jackleg cabins.

Can you supply a full site set-up?

Yes. We regularly supply offices, welfare, canteens and toilet blocks together, and our HIAB team can stack and link units to form a complete compound.

Do you sell second hand temporary buildings?

The majority of our stock is second hand — we have the occasional new unit — and most are refurbished before sale, with a few sold as they stand and the listing saying so. They are used as temporary buildings, semi-permanent offices and long-term storage — buying outright is usually cheaper than a couple of years of hire. See second hand portable buildings.
