Office Containers & Container Toilets For Sale

Second hand office containers, container toilets, container changing rooms and container welfare units — steel buildings that stand up to the worst sites.

Refurbished & delivered

A container conversion is a steel shipping container fitted out as a working building: an office container with a personnel door, glazed window and lighting; a container toilet with WCs, urinals and basins plumbed in; a changing room with benches and hooks; or a welfare unit combining several of those. The shell is the same 8ft-wide steel box either way, so it is far tougher than a standard cabin and much harder to break into.

We buy these in used and refurbish them at our Manchester workshop, then sell them outright. Used office containers are the most popular — they take a knock, they stack, and a second hand one costs a fraction of a purpose-built modular office. Fitted-out toilets and changing rooms in a steel shell suit public, unsupervised and high-risk sites where a lighter building would not last. Everything is electrically tested and certified, plumbing serviced, wet areas re-sealed and the shell repainted before it leaves us.

FAQs

What is the difference between an office container and a portable cabin?

An office container starts life as a steel shipping container and is converted; a portable cabin is purpose-built with a steel frame and clad panels. The container is stronger, more secure and stacks better. The cabin is lighter, usually has more glazing and is easier to link into a larger space. For an exposed or unsupervised site most buyers choose the container.

What sizes are these available in?

Most are 10ft, 20ft or 40ft long and 8ft wide. A 20ft office container gives roughly 150 sq ft of floor space; a 40ft unit can hold an office at one end and a washroom at the other. Current stock is listed above.

Are the toilets plumbed?

Yes. Container toilets come with WCs, urinals and hand-wash basins fitted, and can run to mains drainage where available or to a holding tank that is emptied periodically.

Can a unit be changed to suit my site?

Often, yes — we work from converted units we already hold rather than building one from a bare shipping container. Tell us what you need and we will say what can be altered on the units in stock: partitions moved, doors and windows changed, sanitaryware swapped, shelving added and the shell repainted to your colour. We then deliver it on our own HIAB.

Are these anti-vandal?

Inherently, yes — a steel shell with steel doors is the most secure building we sell. We can add lockable window shutters and upgraded locks as well. See anti-vandal units.
